Important Information

When does the conference start?

The conference starts with lunch at 14:00 on Wednesday. So make sure to come and join us for lunch at the faculty – we will already be welcoming everyone then, before the official programme starts at 15:00. Come early, grab some food, and meet everyone before we get started!

Getting to the faculty

The entire conference will be held at the Faculty of Computer and Information Science, University of Ljubljana, in room P22. The Bio+Med+Vis Summerschool and the MedVis & BioVis Workshop before the conference will take place in neighbouring lecture halls in the same building.

Depending on where you’ll be staying, you can reach us by bus, bike, or on foot. There is a BicikeLJ station near the faculty, you can download the app and register for a weekly subscription for 1€ and ride as many one hour rides as you want (one hour is plenty to get to our faculty from almost any point in Ljubljana – the charms of a little city).

If you like a longer stroll, you can walk from the city centre through Tivoli Park and over Rožnik hill and combine the commute with some morning exercise in true Slovenian style.

Conference dinner

The conference dinner will be held at Ljubljana Castle, which sits at the top of the hill in Ljubljana city centre. The dinner is already included in the registration. Please let us know as soon as possible if you have any dietary restrictions or if you are not joining the dinner, so that we can plan accordingly.

Ljubljana Castle is accessible by foot, with the walk uphill taking around 15 minutes on a nice path, or you can take the funicular if you prefer. We will organise a meeting point in the city centre about an hour before the dinner. Whoever wants to can join us for a stroll through the city centre and a walk to the top together.
