Ljubljana offers a wide range of accommodation options. We do not have official block bookings, so participants are free to book any accommodation that suits their preferences and budget. Below are three recommended options, one near the venue and two in the city center:
- Azur Rooms – about 15 minutes walking distance to the Faculty. Convenient for accessing the venue, but further from the city center restaurants.
- City Hotel Ljubljana
- Best Western Premier Hotel Slon
Getting Around Ljubljana
The Faculty (FRI) is located approximately 3 km from the city center.
1. City Bus (LPP)
A single ride costs €1.50. You can pay using a Contactless Card (Visa/Mastercard) directly on the reader (single ride only) or via the Urbana App, which allows for unlimited transfers within 90 minutes. There are two lines that serve the area:
- Line 18: Take the bus from the city center (stop Bavarski dvor or Konzorcij) towards Center Stožice P+R. Exit at “Živalski vrt – ZOO”. From the bus stop, it is a short walk along the path to the faculty entrance.
- Line 14: Take the bus from the city center towards Bokalce. Exit at “Viško Polje”. From there, cross the street and walk approximately 10 minutes to reach the faculty building.
2. City Bikes (BicikeLJ)
The BicikeLJ system has docking stations throughout the city. A weekly subscription costs €1.00, and the first 60 minutes of each ride are free. Please note that you must register online before use. The nearest docking station is “Živalski vrt”, located at the bus stop near the Zoo entrance.
3. Walking
Walking from the city center to the venue takes about 35–45 minutes. The route passes through Tivoli Park and along the gravel “Path of Remembrance and Comradeship” (PST).
