{"id":63,"date":"2025-11-27T13:48:39","date_gmt":"2025-11-27T13:48:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/conferences.eg.org\/vcbm2026\/?page_id=63"},"modified":"2026-04-24T08:33:18","modified_gmt":"2026-04-24T08:33:18","slug":"contribute-journal","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/conferences.eg.org\/vcbm2026\/contribute-journal\/","title":{"rendered":"Journal Track"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">We are happy to announce that all accepted papers in the journal track (full papers and surveys) will be featured in a special issue of the journal <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/journal\/computers-and-graphics\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Computers &amp; Graphics (C&amp;G)<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Full Papers should describe original, application-oriented research that advances the fusion of visual computing methods within medicine and biology. Accepted work will focus on a well-defined biological or medical problem and demonstrate significant innovation or improvement in visual computing. Surveys are long-form submissions addressing new and emerging topics in visual computing, biology, and medicine.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Please visit the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/conferences.eg.org\/vcbm2026\/contribute\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">general call page<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> for all submission types and the scope.<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><b>Submission Instructions<\/b><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Full and survey papers must be submitted using the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.editorialmanager.com\/cag\/default2.aspx\">Editorial Manager for Computers &amp; Graphics<\/a>. This year, there will be <strong>no abstract submission<\/strong>. The authors are required to submit only the final paper. When submitting your paper, make sure that you select the correct <strong>Article Type<\/strong> (VSI: CAG_SS_EG VCBM 2026).<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li data-path-to-node=\"12\"><b>Full Papers length:<\/b> We do not impose strict maximum lengths for the full papers track. However, it is unusual for papers to exceed <b>10 pages<\/b> (in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.elsevier.com\/__data\/promis_misc\/elsarticle-CAG-template.zip\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">C&amp;G LaTeX style<\/span><\/a>, including all images and references). Papers should only be as long as their content justifies. Reviewers may rate a submission lower if it is perceived as unnecessarily long or recommend it for the conference (short paper) track instead.<\/li>\n<li data-path-to-node=\"13\"><b>Surveys length:<\/b> We do not impose strict maximum lengths for the survey track. Authors must anonymize their submissions (names, affiliations, and explicit self-citations must be removed). Please follow the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/journal\/computers-and-graphics\/publish\/guide-for-authors#toc-21\">instructions<\/a> in the guide for authors of Computers &amp; Graphics.<\/li>\n<li data-path-to-node=\"15,0,0\"><b>Supplementary Material:<\/b> Authors are strongly encouraged to use supplementary material, such as videos or executable programs, to provide extra content.<\/li>\n<li data-path-to-node=\"15,2,0\"><b>Video Formats:<\/b> Please use common video codecs, such as <b>MP4 (H.264)<\/b>, to <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">maximize the chances that the reviewers can view them.<\/span><\/li>\n<li data-path-to-node=\"15,2,0\"><strong>Use of AI:\u00a0<\/strong>All submissions must adhere to the official Elsevier policies regarding the use of generative AI and AI-assisted technologies in scientific writing.
