{"id":44,"date":"2024-11-30T20:09:37","date_gmt":"2024-11-30T20:09:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/conferences.eg.org\/vcbm2025\/?page_id=44"},"modified":"2025-09-07T16:37:05","modified_gmt":"2025-09-07T16:37:05","slug":"full-survey-papers","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/conferences.eg.org\/vcbm2025\/contribute\/full-survey-papers\/","title":{"rendered":"Full and Survey Papers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We are happy to announce that <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">all accepted full papers and surveys will be featured in a special issue of the journal <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/journal\/computers-and-graphics\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Computers &amp; Graphics (C&amp;G)<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Full Papers should describe original, application-oriented research that advances the fusion of visual computing methods within medicine and biology. Accepted work will focus on a well-defined biological or medical problem and demonstrate significant innovation or improvement in visual computing. Surveys are long-form submissions addressing new and emerging topics in visual computing, biology, and medicine.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Please visit the <a href=\"https:\/\/conferences.eg.org\/vcbm2025\/contribute\/\">general call page<\/a> for all submission types and the scope.<\/p>\n<h3>Submission Instructions<\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Full and survey papers must be submitted using the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.editorialmanager.com\/cag\/default.aspx\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Editorial Manager for Computers &amp; Graphics<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">. Please note that in contrast to previous years, we are introducing a <\/span><b>mandatory abstract submission<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> (similar to EuroVis or VIS conferences) where the authors are required to submit the paper abstract one week prior to the submission deadline.<strong> For abstract submission, the <\/strong><\/span><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/srmv2.eg.org\/COMFy\/\">SRM<\/a><\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><strong> system needs to be used<\/strong>. You can find further instructions on our <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/conferences.eg.org\/vcbm2025\/contribute\/full-survey-papers\/abstract-submission-instructions\/\">dedicated abstract submission page<\/a><\/strong>. This means you have to use two systems for your submission: <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/srmv2.eg.org\/COMFy\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">SRM<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> for abstract submission and <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.editorialmanager.com\/cag\/default.aspx\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Editorial Manager for Computers &amp; Graphics<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> for full paper submission. The same applies to Surveys. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">We remark that submitting a paper without prior abstract submission will lead to desk rejection.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Limits:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>Full Papers:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> We do not impose strict maximum lengths for submitted papers to the full papers track. However, it is unusual for papers to exceed 10 pages (in <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.elsevier.com\/__data\/promis_misc\/elsarticle-CAG-template.zip\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">C&amp;G LaTeX style<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> including all images and references). Papers should only be as long as their content would justify. Reviewers might rate a submission lower if it is perceived as being unnecessarily long or might recommend it for a short paper instead. Authors are encouraged to use supplementary material, such as videos or executable programs, to provide extra content. Authors have to anonymize their submissions. Please follow the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/journal\/computers-and-graphics\/publish\/guide-for-authors#toc-21\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">instructions<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> in the guide for authors of Computers &amp; Graphics.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>Surveys:<\/b> We do not impose strict maximum lengths for papers submitted to the survey track.
